The world lost Tim Hetherington in Libya on April 20, 2011. Not only a great photojournalist - and the first photographer to become a Magnum member after his death - but based on tributes I have read, a wonderful human being. Check out some of his pictures and visit following link: Magnum Photos.

“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest. The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself.” Ernest Hemingway.

The arch of the City Bridge “De Oversteek” was moved to its final place over the river Waal.  The main span of the arch bridge is 285m long; the total length of the structure, the arched bridge including the approach ramps, is 1,2 km.  The city bridge comemorates the daring crossing of the 82nd airborne division during the Second World War. The bridge is being build at the site where the paratroopers crossed the Waal River in small boats in daylight. During the crossing on September 20th 1944, 48 American soldiers died. More than 10.000 people followed the spectacular mega-operation on April 20, 2013.
