Lithuania
Lithuania has so much to offer, but on our recent visit, we focused on a few key places. We started in Vilnius, the capital, where we explored the charming Old Town and its impressive baroque architecture. After that, we headed to Trakai, where we kayaked on the lake surrounding its famous island castle—a perfect way to enjoy the scenery.
Next, we made our way to Kaunas, known for its incredible Art Deco architecture. Being Art Deco buffs, this was something we really wanted to check out, and the city didn’t disappoint with its rich collection of modernist buildings. From there, we traveled to Klaipėda to visit the Curonian Spit, a unique natural wonder with its rolling sand dunes and beautiful coastal views.
On our way north, before crossing into Latvia, we made one last stop at the Hill of Crosses, an inspiring and spiritual site with thousands of crosses placed by pilgrims over the years.
