Welcome to my photography blog and portfolio. My goal is to document the world around me, from the small details of everyday life to the grand landscapes that take our breath away. Whether I'm at home or traveling to new places, I am always on the lookout for new and interesting subjects to photograph. My photographs are a visual diary of my experiences and a way to share the world as I see it with others. I hope you enjoy exploring my collection and discover the beauty of the world through my lens.

10 March 2021: On average in the week to 6 March 2344 people tested positive each day. The number is down 2% on the week. During the week from 2 to 8 March an average of 147 people with COVID-19 were hospitalised each day. Net-net, the figures on the coronavirus pandemic in Belgium remain high and it looks like the virus is here to stay. This highlights the role that vaccination will play in allowing us to return to normality. The vaccine has been proved to be safe and effective. The first conclusions drawn from the vaccination of staff and residents in care centres and hospital staff are very favourable. One week after they had received their second dose of Pfizer’s vaccine, only 0.13% of the people tested positive for Covid-19. These percentages were also very low in people who received the Moderna vaccine, or the AstraZeneca vaccine. All of this confirms the high efficacy of the vaccines. I cannot wait until I get my invitation to get my first jab, but it doesn’t look it’s going to be for tomorrow. Meanwhile, I continue to document every corner of Ghent. On display today is the Alphonse de Hollainhof, military barracks that have been transformed into social housing in 1992. The artwork refers to the military horses that used to be stabled at the complex – Ghent, Belgium.
