This blog is about life as it unfolds around me. What I’m seeing, hearing or reading is sometimes beautiful, surreal, ugly, paradoxical and complex. It’s a little bit of everything and a little bit of nothing but I hope it’s unique in its own right.

5 March 2021: The average number of new infections continues to rise, but at a much slower pace than in recent days. In the week to 1 March on average 2358 people tested positive each day. This figure is up 2% on the week. The number of hospitalisations linked to coronavirus remains high. On average in the week to 3 March 152 patients with Covid were hospitalised each day. The figure is up 20% on the week. Despite the fact that all figures are still way too high, Belgium’s Prime Minister Alexander De Croo announced that the government will discuss later today a safe and responsible outdoor plan to relax outdoor activities to give people perspective. Looking at the big crowds that have been gathering at the parks in recent days you may wonder if this discussion is not lagging behind the events – Citadelpark, Ghent, Belgium.

"Photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with how you see them."

    About Me

I just like to take pictures, I just push the button. I never worked in the darkroom, I never studied photography or journalism; I’m just a passionate photographer.

For a long time I used to take pictures - like so many of us - to capture memories of family holidays and events. Over time I’ve found that experiences are deepened and one notices things more intensely by thinking visually. I came to enjoy the quality of light, amazing reflections, geometrical forms and colours. Ever since, I have been determined to take my skills to the next level. I also want to share my work with a much larger audience, because I truly believe that the only way to keep feeding one’s inspiration, creativity, and ultimately getting better at what one is passionate about, is to invite others to critique my work.
