Across the Meadows: Hiking the Panorama Loop from Ortisei

After a morning e-bike ride, we took the Ortisei–Alpe di Siusi gondola up for the well-known Panoramaweg, expecting a stroll with stunning views. And yes — the views delivered: broad meadows, scattered huts, and a front-row look at the Sassolungo–Sassopiatto peaks and the Sciliar range.

The trail itself was just over 6 km, with almost 200 meters of elevation gain. It was not extreme, but the final stretch climbs steadily back up to the gondola station, and after a whole morning in the saddle, we felt it.

Still, it is a rewarding loop across one of Europe's most beautiful high-alpine plateaus: tired legs, full memory cards.
