Our second day in Quito was all about exploring the historic center. We had everything planned—panoramic viewpoints, historic buildings, stunning churches, and a deep dive into the city’s history and Ecuador in general. And we did all that… but with an unexpected twist!

Turns out, Carnival foam fights were in full swing, and avoiding them was nearly impossible. At first, it was fun—laughing, dodging foam attacks, and watching the playful chaos unfold. But after a while, we had enough carioca for a lifetime! By 3:00 PM, we were back at the hotel, scrubbing off the foam and getting ready for dinner with our cousin, who lives in Ecuador.

A day of history, culture, and a surprise foam battle—definitely a Quito experience to remember!
