Crail Harbour: A Coastal Path Perspective

I took this photo on our way back from hiking the trail from Crail to Anstruther and back. I snapped it just before picking up our car, which we had parked outside the harbor area. Crail is one of the oldest and most charming villages in the region, famous for its historic buildings and narrow streets. This image shows the village’s harbor, surrounded by historic fishing cottages. Crail has a long history dating back to the 12th century. It used to be a busy trading port, and its harbor was important for both fishing and trading. Today, it still keeps much of its old charm and continues to focus on fishing, but it's also a favorite spot for tourists. When we started our hike, it was low tide, and there was no water in the harbor.
