Evening Elegance: Charles Bridge and Prague Castle Reflections

I'm proud that this image was selected by the editors of 1X to be published on their website. It’s a shot I took during an after-dinner walk along the Vltava River in downtown Prague. After a short stroll, we found ourselves in front of two of Prague's most iconic landmarks. In this late evening scene, you can see both the illuminated Charles Bridge and the majestic Prague Castle reflecting beautifully on the Vltava River. The Vltava begins as small springs in the Bohemian Forest, near the borders with Germany and Austria, flowing north through the Czech Republic and right through Prague before joining the Elbe. Czech composer Bedřich Smetana even wrote a symphonic piece, ‘The Moldau,’ capturing the river’s journey and its deep connection to Czech culture and landscape - Prague, Czech Republic
