Golden Hour Over Historic Old Muscat

Sunset over Old Muscat shows off the beauty of this historic area in Oman’s capital city. From the fortress above, you can see white buildings spread out below, surrounded by rugged mountains. Old Muscat is full of history and once played an important role as a key port and political center. Its location, tucked between rocky hills and the Gulf of Oman, made it easy to defend and a hub for trade. The Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, built by the Portuguese in the 1500s, still stand guard over the harbor – Muscat, Oman
