Hiking the Lake Agnes Trail in Banff

In August 2017, we set out on the Lake Agnes Trail in Banff National Park, taking in the stunning mountain views at every turn. About halfway up, we arrived at Mirror Lake—a small, tranquil lake nestled beneath the Big Beehive. Its glassy surface reflected the surrounding peaks, offering a peaceful spot to catch our breath before continuing on. Banff National Park, Canada’s oldest, is known for its dramatic landscapes and turquoise lakes, and this hike was a perfect way to experience it. From Lake Louise to Lake Agnes, the trail took us a few hours, with the charming Mirror Lake as a memorable stop before reaching the historic Lake Agnes Tea House – Banff Natiional Park, Alberta, Canada
