Life at Cadaqués before sunset
The fishing village of Cadaqués is sometimes referred to as an island on the Costa Brava. For a long time the long winding road through the mountains of Cap de Creus giving access to the village has been protecting it from mass tourism that hit the Costa Brava since decades. Its azure-blue waters drew painters such as Magritte, Matisse, Picasso and Dali. Nowadays, pocket-sized Cadaqués is mostly the preserve of chi-chi French families and visitors whose taste is more pizza and beer than tapas and fino. Nothing wrong with pizza and beer but different…:-) – Cadaqués, Spain.
