Morning Views from the Grand Hôtel Stockholm: A Panoramic Glimpse of Stockholm’s Old Town

Waking up in a room with a view. This photo was taken early in the morning from our 5th-floor room at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. The Grand Hôtel, which opened in 1874, is situated right by the waterfront, offering stunning views of the Royal Palace and Gamla Stan, the city's old town. To create this panoramic cityscape, I took five photos and stitched them together in Lightroom Classic. During our stay, we discovered an interesting anecdote that I’d like to share: the Grand Hôtel was one of the first hotels to change sheets between guests. This practice, now a standard (or at least it should be), was quite innovative at the time and played a key role in establishing the hotel's reputation for luxury and cleanliness… Grand Hôtel Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden
