Santa Eulàlia and the Ferris Wheel: Morning at Port Vell

During a morning stroll in Barcelona, I captured this shot featuring the city's new ferris wheel, which I initially thought was seasonal but is actually a permanent addition. The highlight of the photo, however, is the century-old schooner Santa Eulàlia, part of Barcelona's Maritime Museum and a cultural treasure of Catalonia. Built in 1918 in Alicante as the Carmen Flores, this vessel once transported freight across the Mediterranean and to Cuba. Restored in 1998-1999 after being acquired by the museum, it now hosts maritime photography and astronomy courses and plays a key role in Barcelona's Christmas festivities, including the arrival of the Three Kings. – Port Vell, Barcelona, Spain
