This statue of Jean-Paul Sartre stands on the Parnidis Dune in Nida, Lithuania, overlooking the stunning landscape of the Curonian Spit. Sartre visited the region in 1965, drawn by its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty. Behind the statue, you can see the Curonian Spit extending into Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast. While Kaliningrad itself isn’t visible, the view from the dune spans both the Lithuanian and Russian sides of the spit. – Parnidis Dune, Nida, Curonian Spit, Lithuania
