Shades of Green at Lac de Fischboedle

During our stay in Alsace, we hiked from Steinabruck to Lac de Fischboedle and Lac du Schiessrothried. It was a beautiful and rewarding experience with scenic views. Our first stop was Lac de Fischboedle, which we reached after a little over an hour of hiking through forested areas with a moderate ascent. Lac de Fischboedle is a small, picturesque lake surrounded by lush forest. Its tranquil setting and clear waters made it a perfect spot for our picnic and a great shelter during the only rain shower we had that afternoon. From there, we continued to Lac du Schiessrothried, located about 2 kilometers further. Lac du Schiessrothried is a larger lake situated at a higher elevation. The trail from Lac de Fischboedle to Lac du Schiessrothried involved a steeper climb and a meandering path of rocks.
