Timeless View from Riga’s Stalin Tower

During our last visit to Riga, we took the elevator to the top of Stalin's "birthday cake," officially known as the Latvian Academy of Sciences. From there, I captured this photo looking towards the Daugava River, with its bridges stretching across the water. Right in front, you can see the Central Market’s iconic hangars—a lively spot we passed through while walking from the Old Town to this building. The cityscape is a mix of modern and old architecture, with medieval spires standing out against the Soviet-era buildings. Despite the contrast, the view has a unique appeal. I decided to convert the photo to black and white to give it a more timeless feel - Riga, Latvia.
