A Cabin With A View in the Heart of the Wachau: Emmersdorf an der Donau

After a restful night aboard the MS Amadeus II, we awoke near Emmersdorf an der Donau, realizing we had already covered at least two-thirds of the distance between Passau and Vienna. The view that greeted us was simply breathtaking. We found ourselves immersed in the heart of the Wachau region, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Lower Austria, known for its Danube Valley landscapes, historic towns like Dürnstein and Melk, which exude medieval charm, and the iconic terraced vineyards that yield high-quality wines. The village gracing our view was Emmersdorf an der Donau, veiled in morning mist, which looked beautiful as the sun rose. We are scheduled to visit Melk on our way back to Passau, and I'm hopeful I'll be able to capture some interesting shots of this world-famous monastery - Emmersdorf an der Donau, Niederösterreich, Vienna
