A Midnight Sun Journey in Abisko, Sweden

This was  picture that I marked as a keeper while I was finalizing the selection for printing my photographs from Sweden, I took this particular shot during the same midnight sun hike in Abisko, just like the pictures I shared earlier. Abisko, located 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, offers a special chance to witness the captivating Arctic daytime phenomenon that occurs from June onward, when the sun never sets. Even at midnight, the sun remains visible above the horizon, casting a captivating blend of red and yellow hues across the sky. Also the journey to the point where we could marvel at the midnight sun was an awe-inspiring experience in itself. I captured this photograph on the chairlift that carried us to the STF Aurora Sky Station, nestled at an elevation of 900 meters. This is where our hike to the viewing point of the midnight sun would begin – an illuminated Abisko, in Norrbotten, Sweden.
