Abisko's Midnight Sun Trek: Journey to the Summit

Located 250 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, Abisko is a unique destination for observing the Arctic daytime, which commences in June. During this period, the sun remains above the horizon throughout the day and night, casting a remarkable red and yellow hue across the sky. Exploring the Nordic alpine landscape under this continuous daylight is an extraordinary experience. Our midnight sun adventure began with a short walk leading to a chair-lift, providing panoramic views of the mountainous terrain. The photograph was captured from the chair-lift itself. Subsequently, we reached the STF Aurora Sky Station, positioned at an elevation of 900 meters. Following a 2-kilometer hike, we arrived at the summit, standing at an impressive 1164 meters above sea level.
