Autumn Sunset on the Danube

Yesterday, we boarded the MS Amadeus II in Lindau, just outside Passau in Bavaria for a river cruise on the Danube to Budapest and back. It's our first time ever doing this, and we have some apprehensions about living with a large group of people for seven days in a more or less synchronized manner. My concerns about the trip grew when, prior to boarding the ship, we had only an hour and a half to explore Passau. I would have loved to stay a couple of hours longer to capture this charming Bavarian town in the beautiful evening light. Nevertheless, we'll need to adapt to the program for the next week. The main reason we joined this journey is to attend talks by Prof. Hendrik Vos, a renowned professor at Ghent University. He teaches political science and specializes in topics related to European politics and decision-making processes. We have high expectations for his hopefully daily talks. The photograph on display was taken shortly after embarking on the ship just outside Passau near Lindau. At the very least, we cannot complain about the scenery and the weather.
