Captivating Moments at 'Winter Glow 2023' in Bruges

Yesterday, I posted our favorite light installation from 'Winter Glow 2023' in Bruges. The light installations were truly remarkable, but equally captivating was the illuminated city center itself. The photograph captures a view from the Spinolarei overlooking the Spiegelrei, with the Poortersloge in the background. The Poortersloge, nestled in the heart of Bruges, Belgium, is a historic building steeped in heritage. Constructed during the 15th century, it served as a meeting place and guildhall for the city's bourgeoisie, known as the 'poorters.' With splendid Gothic architecture, characterized by pointed arches and intricate detailing, the Poortersloge stands as a testament to Bruges' medieval legacy. Today, the building houses the Bruges Tourist Office – Bruges, Belgium.
