Walking to the Ghent Xmas market one late afternoon, I admired the dramatic sky. Rain had dominated most of the day, and it wasn't until 4:00 pm that the sun began to break through, transforming the sky into a colorful palette of blues, reds, and purples. As I reached the Korte Dagsteeg, I spotted a captivating composition on the left with reflections in the Ketelvest and the play of light in the buildings on both sides of the canal. This photograph is quite different from my usual work, and I'm curious about how others will perceive it. To me, it perfectly captures the moment's atmosphere – Korte Dagsteeg, Ghent, Belgium.
