Capturing the Thrill: Falconry at Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort

During my stay at the Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort in Abu Dhabi, one early morning, I decided to venture out from the hotel with a burning curiosity to uncover the secrets of falcons. I have to admit, I wasn't exactly an expert when it came to birds, especially not falcons. However, in the heart of UAE culture, falconry holds a significant place, and I was determined to fully immerse myself in the world of these majestic birds and their remarkable hunting skills. Falcons are renowned for their incredible speed and agility, making them the undisputed champions of the desert when it comes to catching a variety of prey, ranging from houbara bustards to smaller creatures. As the desert landscape bathed in the warm embrace of the rising sun, my camera captured an absolutely extraordinary moment - a guide putting on a captivating display of falconry, which included a breathtaking falcon nosedive to capture a prey swinging on a rope, expertly maneuvered by the guide. All of this unfolded against the stunning backdrop of the Qasr al Sarab Desert in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
