Chilling Winds and Murky Waters: Loch Ness in Black and White

It was cold and windy when we were motorboating on the murky waters of Loch Ness. The loch stretches about 37 kilometers southwest of Inverness. It's the second largest Scottish loch by surface area after Loch Lomond, but because of its depth, it has the largest volume. The loch reaches depths of about 230 meters, making it one of the deepest bodies of water in the British Isles. While on the water, our skipper took us to Urquhart Castle. No, we didn’t see the Loch Ness Monster... Nessie wasn’t at home. 😊 What we will remember most about Loch Ness is that it can be freezing cold on the lake, and the weather can change rapidly, making it a bit of a scary experience.
