Embracing Patriotism at Zangtherpo Elementary School in the Bumthang Valley, Bhutan

Almost by accident we crossed paths with the Zangtherpo Elementary School in the Bumthang Valley in Bhutan.  It all began when we struck up a conversation with a young girl who was making her way home from school. Intrigued by her stories, she extended an invitation for us to attend classes at her school. That very evening, our guide reached out to the school's headmaster, and to our delight, we were warmly welcomed the following morning as the children recited the Bhutanese national pledge, showcasing their unwavering allegiance.
