Liwa's Dunescape: A Camel Odyssey

Yesterday, I shared a photograph from my recent camel expedition in the Liwa Desert, near the Abu Dhabi-Saudi Arabia border. I couldn't resist sharing more pictures because I like the simple composition very much, and even more so, the color palette in these photographs. This desert in the UAE is renowned for its towering sand dunes, some of which reach heights of almost 100 meters. Covering an area of 97,000 square kilometers, it boasts ever-changing landscapes sculpted by the wind. I regret that I couldn't stay a little longer to capture more pictures at sunset or sunrise when the colors are even more vibrant, and the contrast between light and shadow accentuates these impressive, shall I say, 'dunescapes – Qasr al Sarab, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emireates
