We had the opportunity to attend the morning prayers at the Buddhist Chorten Ningpo Monastery near Punakha, Bhutan. The morning prayer typically starts very early in the morning, usually around 5:00 or 6:00 AM, and lasts for about an hour or so. During the morning prayer, the monks gather in the main prayer hall, where they chant mantras and perform other ritualistic practices. The morning prayer is an essential part of the daily routine of the monks and is intended to purify their minds and create a conducive environment for meditation and study. The chanting and other practices are believed to invoke the blessings of the Buddha and other enlightened beings, which help the monks in their spiritual practice. After the morning prayer, the monks usually go about their daily activities, which may include meditation, study, or engaging in other monastery chores. They join breakfast at 7:30 - Chorten Ningpo Monastery, Punakha, Bhutan
