Paradise with a Catch: Our Experience in the Maldives - The Maldives is often regarded as a dream vacation spot with its white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, stunning underwater world, and luxurious amenities away from the chaos of civilization in the middle of the Indian Ocean. However, there is a downside to the Maldives' idyllic climate: the temperatures are around 33 degrees both day and night, and the high humidity and UV index make it feel much hotter, sometimes reaching over 41 degrees. As a result, we found ourselves seeking refuge from the heat during the hottest parts of the day, spending more time indoors than we had planned. Although we're happy that we chose to visit the Maldives, the extreme temperatures are challenging, and we're equally relieved that we'll be leaving after four nights – Hideaway Beach Resort, Maldives
