Visitor’s Digest is my daily photo column. Sometimes it's one picture, other times a set — always with short notes about place, light, timing, or a personal detail. It’s my way of documenting the world around me, from city streets to coastal towns, in a simple and reflective way.

The punk scene in Camden, London during the late 1970s was a vibrant and rebellious movement that challenged the norms of society and popular culture. The area, located in the North of the city, became a hub for punk rock music and fashion, attracting young people from all over who were drawn to its anti-establishment spirit. The music played in the pubs and clubs of Camden was loud and abrasive, with bands like The Clash and The Sex Pistols leading the charge. Their lyrics were politically charged, tackling issues like unemployment, poverty, and government corruption. The punk fashion was equally as bold, with fans sporting leather jackets, studded belts, and brightly dyed hair. Despite initial opposition from authorities and the media, the punk scene in Camden continued to grow and evolve. It became a symbol of resistance and a source of inspiration for other subcultures and musical genres that followed. To this day, Camden remains a cultural melting pot, with street performers, vintage shops, and music venues that continue to draw in visitors from around the world. The punk scene in Camden may have been short-lived, but its impact on music and fashion can still be felt today. It remains a testament to the power of youth culture to challenge the status quo and create something truly unique and enduring – Camden, London, UK
