A couple of miles before arriving at our hotel in Torridon we had to stop the car to enjoy this beautiful view on Loch Maree. When Queen Victoria visited Loch Maree in 1877, she was deeply impressed by its beauty and described it as "lovely" and "romantic." This endorsement by Queen Victoria helped to increase the loch's fame as a tourist destination during the Victorian era – Loch Maree, Torridon Region, Scotland, UK
