The Perito Moreno Glacier is a natural wonder located in the Los Glaciares National Park in southern Argentina. It is part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, one of the largest ice fields in the world outside of Antarctica and Greenland. The Perito Moreno is as much an auditory as a visual experience when huge icebergs calve and collapse into the Canal de los Témpanos (Iceberg Channel). The glacier is approximately 30 km long and 5 km wide, with some ice walls rising up to 80 m high and is one of the few glaciers in the world that is still advancing, rather than receding.
