The Wild Beauty of Hardangervidda

On our journey from Bergen to Oslo, we passed through an amazing place called Hardangervidda. It's a huge plateau, the largest in Europe, covering about 8,000 square kilometers. The plateau is like a wild and open space, with rolling hills, rocks, and peaceful lakes all around. Hardangervidda is home to two national parks: Hardangervidda National Park and Hallingskarvet National Park. It's a tough environment, but even though we didn't see all of them (the animals), guides will tell you that you can still find Arctic foxes roaming and reindeer grazing. But Hardangervidda is not only about nature; it also has special cultural importance. The indigenous Sami people have been herding reindeer here for a long time, adding to the area's history -  Hardangervidda, it spans parts of three counties in southern Norway: Buskerud, Telemark, and Hordaland, Norway.
