Tranquil Fjord Passage: View From One of Norway's Many Ferries

​Norway has a big and well-developed ferry system because of its many fjords and coastal areas. Ferries are essential for connecting islands and coastal communities that are hard to reach by road. So, in Norway, you end up using ferries regularly. The good news is that they are usually not expensive, and sometimes they are even free. They are also very comfortable, and you don't have to wait for them for too long. I believe we never had to wait for more than 20 minutes before we could embark and leave the ferry port. This picture was taken when we were traveling from Øye to Ålesund, on the second ferry we took that day from Festøy to Solavågen.
