Wow... What a Circus
The Winter Circus Mahy was constructed in Ghent in the late 19th and served its initial purpose until the early 20th century when it was almost completely destroyed by fire. Later it served as garage and showroom for the enormous oldtimer collection of car dealer Mahy. After having been abandoned for many years, it now has been transformed into a meeting-point and hotspot for creation and innovation. The building was restored with only a minimum of technically necessary changes respecting its rich history and its raw appearance and the huge atrium – the actual former circus –was kept in all its generosity and openness – Ghent, Belgium
